Martin Kačmárek (*1996)
je v bakalárskom ročníku v ateliéri STARTUP na Fakulte výtvarných umení Akadémie umení v Banskej Bystrici. Primárne sa venuje airbrushovej maľbe, ktorú kombinuje s akrylom či olejom. Fascinujú ho tvary, farby a textúry, pričom do veľkej miery zohľadňuje aj princíp náhody. V sérií najnovších obrazov sa odklonil od inšpirácie z digitálneho prostredia a počítačových hier a postupne prešiel k svojim prirodzeným fascináciám zo sveta poľnohospodárstva, resp. DIY kultúry. Kačmarekove monumentálne obrazy charakterizuje uvoľnený maliarsky rukopis, ktorý potláča bežné estetické normy. Neforemné telá a absurdné portréty fiktívnych farmárov sú výsledkom plochých tvarov a jednoduchého tieňovania s prímesou humoru, satiry, irónie či surrealistického budovania obrazového naratívu.

Martin Kačmárek (*1996)
Author is in his bachelor’s year at the STARTUP studio at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the Academy of Arts in Banská Bystrica. He primarily works on airbrush painting, which he combines with acrylic or oil. He is fascinated by shapes, colors and textures, while taking into account the principle of chance to a large extent. In a series of recent paintings, he moved away from inspiration from the digital environment and computer games and gradually moved to his natural fascinations from the world of agriculture, or DIY culture. Kačmarek’s monumental paintings are characterized by a relaxed painting style that suppresses the usual aesthetic standards. The misshapen bodies and absurd portraits of fictitious farmers are the result of flat shapes and simple shading with an admixture of humor, satire, irony or the surreal construction of a pictorial narrative.
